You’ve applied the same makeup for twenty years but it’s just not having the same impact? Eyes are more hooded, skin has changed? Redness, texture, pores?
As we get older, our techniques need a little tweak as the way we applied makeup in our twenties just doesn’t work as well in our forties, fifties, sixties and beyond.
Let me show you how to switch up your techniques and give you back that the confidence to create any style of makeup you want on your changing face.

Your Tutor
My name is Lyndsay, I am a professional makeup artist, working from my East Belfast studio where I see face-to-face clients for a range of makeup services.
I am a busy mum of three with a passion for makeup and helping women my own age and older to feel confident about applying their makeup. In a world where it feels like everyone is getting younger, I want us to take our place!
We didn’t grow up with TikTok or YouTube and so much makeup content can be aimed at younger women, which can often be a different set of skills!
I have an active Instagram account where I share lots of tips and tricks here… and a FREE Over 40’s Makeup Facebook Community, which you can request to join here.
My tips and techniques are aimed specifically at more mature women, with lots of advice for hooded eyes and fine lines. While I believe as we age, we shouldn’t necessarily have to wear less makeup, it does require us to update our skills a little. Skin naturally looses collagen and laxity (joy!), our eyes may begin to drop a little and develop excess skin. Skin develops fine lines and lips can thin out a little. This is the beauty and privilege of the ageing process, which should always be celebrated. But in terms of makeup, the techniques which worked perfectly well in our younger years, sometimes aren’t as effective later on in life. Often they just need a little tweak…Which is where I come in.
